Food for Thought

Someone asked me the other week why I read and write blogs.
She had an opinion that wasn't wrong, however my opinion was different.

"It's just random fluff, like mini romance or drama stories" she said.
That's one way to look at it.

I explained that I read a wide variety of blogs to suit every layer of my onion.
Romance, porn like, silly, drama, tech stuff, dating gone bad blogs, mummy blogs, and musicians who write giving readers an insight to the vulnerabilities and insecurities they experience that may give them the lyrical concepts.  It's all food for thought.

It provokes thought, angst, sadness, intrigues me to think outside the box or simply to have a good giggle at someone elses expense. It's not really different from how you chose a novel to read, but with a twist.

The Blogging World allows you to be interactive with it's authors and remain anonymous if you chose, (Which in essence allows you to write uncensored), and some times those people cross over from blog world to real life friends, or at least facebook friends/acquaintances. Based on mutual respect, or simply as having something in common that you want to reminisce about from time to time. Even if you write only for yourself, it unleashes whatever is on your chest and puts it out there for others to read, give input with a truly unbias opinion.

That is why I read and blog.

Blogging is like owning a Volkswagon.
There is no grey area, you either love it or hate it.

That same person started a blog the following week. :)
