Stylish Blogger Award - You've been Tagged.

My Dating Hangovers nominated me for this Stylish Blogger Award. Awwww.. Thanks for the shout out.

Now about this award; being a recipient of the Stylish Blogger Award is a great exercise in fun and mutual back-scratching. Of course, as with any of these blog awards, there are rules. The “rules” that come along with this award designation are (1) I must divulge seven things about myself, and then (2) pay the Stylish Blogger Award forward to about seven other blogs.

7 Random Things About Me
1. I love watching men shave their faces, and sometimes doing for them. Something so intimate about it.
2. Love the smell of fresh cut grass, cedar burning, BBQing in the winter and the air after a good Spring rain.
3. I use to compete at a Provincial level in gymnastics and dance.
4. I can not whistle.
5. I'm weaken by my empathy for those I love and random things like crying at commercials, good love stories, weddings, my friends success's and failures.
6. I snore like a bear when I'm sick. (so attractive)
7. I love to be a cuddle slut, but hate PDA's.

For the people I'm passing this award onto:
In no particular order.....
and cause I like to break the rules....

Winter Can Suck It Already

UUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH
Nothing I hate more are the people who run from their cars to the office front door (less than 30 feet) and feel compelled to tell me how shitty and cold it is outside..  wwwhaaa whhaaa whhhaaa of fucking whhaaaa
You were outside (going from your house to car, car to office) for a total of what, 2 mins and you think you're entitled to bitch about how yucky it is?

Please child.  Take transit, miss a bus, have a bus be too crowded, get splashed (on bad days) by a big truck or lose your umbrella, and by the time you get to work you're more than entitled to have a little foot stomp about how shitty it is outside.

This morning was no exception. Love this girl, but my gawd, really?
She parks in a carport at home. The only time she is exposed to the elements is walking from car to office.. seriously, it takes less than 10 seconds to walk it... today, she worn rain boots for that long walk. Brought a change of clothes cos it was "raining" outside, after driving to work in her warm car and not having her personal space invaded by rude, smelly people, spilling their coffee on you while trying to read the paper at the same time.   UUUGGGHHHH.

Don't get me wrong, our transit system is pretty good all things considering the amount of ground it can cover. But for the love of gawd, don't complain to the transit user about how shitty things are when you drive.

When I have a car, I've always been cautious about saying anything about the weather (unless it's snowing, cos then everyone is fucked) to people who take transit. Especially those who might be fetching my coffee in the morning. (that was an old job, I get my own now)

I know being a Bitter Betty doesn't suit anyone and knowing you can not see me as I write this, I'm actually smirking at my computer right now. That special smirk when someone truly stupid crosses your path, and you think "good thing you're pretty, or your hair is really nice today"... Hoping one day they all have to take transit when the next monsoon passes thru. :) Nope not evil. Not at all.

Here is my advice to you today Dear Readers; If you drive, please keep your two bits to yourself about the weather when talking to co-workers who take transit. Not everyone is as nice as me and you might find a loogie or a sneeze in your coffee......just saying.

Livid although not surprised.

I have so much to say right now and due to the fact its work related (not with me directly) I'm weary about writing about it in it's entirety as I've been reading about people losing their jobs for slander and defamation of character when you write about co workers, even when names are changed etc.

I'll do my best.
A former employee was recently let go, and whilst she sense it was coming, she welcomed it. She wasn't happy. Not with the job itself parse, but the way she was treated by a few individuals. Her management.

In my opinion, her lack of abilities, and/or lack understanding within her own department were a direct result of improper training. Like most people you work with that you are not close too, you're friendly towards.
She asked all the questions, explained she did not understand and asked for additional training.

Skipping all the middle stuff, getting to what has me so livid today.  Months after the fact, it has been brought to her attention the real reason behind her dissmisal.  Not a direct result of her actual inabilites, but for the sheer fact she wasn't liked.  It happens. Then again that is not what has me pissed.

Information was relayed to her that her team leader thought she was immature, unproffesional. Others were informed NOT to be friends with her or their jobs could be on the line.  WTH!!!!???

Are you kidding me?

How professional is it that a team leader is sharing this information with an employee? There's professionalism at it's best.  Then to dictate who you can and can not delvelop friendships with or else?
It's rude and extremely unprofessional

One in every bunch I guess. I looked at this particular person with a bit of admiration. She is always put together, smiling, polite (to my face) and never has spoke ill of anyone in my presence and seem to exude professionalism, always.  I guess the caddiness is everywhere.

Ya ya I'm quilty of it myself at times, (I usually blog about it than speak to someone) but even in the wake of Crazy C, I handled that as professionally as I could and only discussed it with a mutual co worker cos it was neccessary. There are people I work with who's pure existance irritates me, but I try my damness not to treat them poorly while at work.  I'm not perfect, I am making a concious effort to treat everyone fairly.

Sometimes business is unfair and callous and you must do what is best for the company. Leave it there when you're done. Do not continue to discuss it with other management unless neccessary, let alone employees within that department.  Hope they all know this is how they will be treated upon their departure from the company.

Do unto others. It's a hard lesson to learn and even harder to practice.

btw my spell check on blogger isn't working.

Day 3 - Already dry.

I started the Accuntane Friday night.  The Dr. mentioned once I started, I would get dry, fast.
I'm thinking in a few weeks time. Not almost immediately.  My nose is the victim.
It's dry as it is with the winter months now add this.  I bought some cheap nasal gel before hand as recommended, but will have to find another solution as it doesn't work worth shit on the Accutane dryness. It worked great just in general though. I used Polysporin and Vaseline last night.. instant bliss.

I'm already noticing my eyes, and mouth drying up a bit, which is increasing my thirst.  Although it's nothing uncomfortable. I was proactive/preventative a week before I started this, hoping that it would help.
I'm going to be the sole person that increases revenue for the companies that produces moisturizers this year.
Thankfully there are wonderful products out there specifically for people taking Accutane.

Sure its more expensive (not by much maybe $10 -$15 more than usual) but for the level of comfort it will provide me compared to spending money on cheaper stuff more often... this is one of those cases, you get what you pay for.

My lip balm is $15 a tube, but you only need so little of it, and wow!!! I'm hooked. Once I'm done the cycle, I'm going to continue to buy this stuff!!! My lips are so soft.

Body moisturizer recommended is about $26-$36 a small bottle.. :(  I'm going to wait til I'm scaly to dish out that kind of cash on body products when the cheaper version is by Chetaphil Eczema. (face wash, moisturizer and body moisturizer etc).. its runs $15-$24 a TUB! Much more doable.

Oh did I mention while on this, you're not allowed to wax!?? Hmph. Ya ya I'm not having sex, but that doesn't mean no one is going to see it, and besides, I like to be groomed at all times anyways.

So 3-4 days in (I take the pills with dinner) and so far, so good.

:)

How was your weekend?

Random Updates October 2025

I no longer work directly with the Screaming Banshee! Back in June we had a meeting and completed a manager's shuffle. The company does...
