Today is my last day. :-) I'll continue to get paid til the end of the year then my severance and buyout will take effect.
As I laid in bed this morning hitting the snooze button. I realized that my alarms that are scheduled for a M-F ring, can be turned off. It was at that moment that the realization of my situation became a reality. I'm on holidays, then unemployed. Bittersweet.
I'm going to miss the building itself, the free yoga, the ridiculously awesome picnic table P made,(seriously seats 12-14 ppl and weight about a 1000lbs) the designers and design tech depts for the sweet things they'd say about my curves and being a plus size gal working in a fashion house. Many many people will be missed. Many have made the mundane day to day routine comical.
It's been a good 5 years. Thanks for the fun times Bargle Company. Stay classy.

I remember that bitter sweet feeling well. I was the last employee to hand in keys, swipe card, credit card, etc. It was hard to say good-bye to something that had consumed 50 hours a week of my life for 10 years. The really hard part was saying good-bye to all the good friends that had developed over those years.

I'm glad you're going to get a nice (hopefully relaxing!) vacation til the end of the year. Just focus on chocolate and presents. Ob-jay searching can wait til next year.
