Best Boss Ever

It turns out all my friends, family and blog-o-sphere family on the Island are indeed okay.  Still waiting to hear from a couple but I've seen them update on facebook and there was no call for help.  : -`D

As you know I'm looking for a p/t job. Limited hours, weekends only.  My boss, and a few upper management types that I work for are all my references.  They always say lovely things about me. :) Or they fake it and it still benefits me anyways. lol

Best Boss Ever Award goes to DW!!
She sent me a job link application for a p/t job with Statistics Canada Census 2011. Nice!!!  Doubt anything will come of it, but ya never know. The position is effective March 7th - end of August. P-E-R-F-E-C-T. Granted it's not the most ideal job, but the pay is decent for p/t work.

That's all I have for now.
Right now I have an awesome view of a end to end rainbow from my office.
The day is looking better.

Vancouver Island = 160 km winds (100 mph)

Hope all my Victoria/Nanaimo friends, family and blog-o-sphere family are prepared for the 160 km winds heading their way tonight... Please text/email me in the morning and let me know you still have your roofs.

Whether you want to call it a hurricane, a cyclone, or a typhoon, it all depends what part of the pacific ocean you're on. Regardless, Vancouver Island is in the way of a very big one on its way.  November - January is usually our wind storm season.  Highs of 60-100 kilometer winds etc.

Tonight, the Island is expecting winds upwards of 120-160 kilometers throughout the night. For you folks to the south of us.. that is the equivalent of  80-100 mph.

Humour me in the morning and let me know all my local readers, friends/family in real life and the blog-o-sphere family are all okay.

I'm really not a sour puss.

As much as I can get down, feel all woes is me, and think my love, and sometimes social life sucks donkey ass, I've been reminded today by a coworker who sees it completely different. I'm pretty damn cheery on the outside. I'm only sour on the inside.

He says: "I come to say HI every morning, and through out the day, cos you can always get me out of a funk with your wit and dry sense of humour. Plus you call it as you see it, and you know your music better than most."   The music comment I take much pleasure in. I like music, all of it. Jazz, folk, metal, rock, pop, Motown, bluegrass and some country.  Not just the music either, but who produced it, mixed it, etc  We can sit and talk about music forever, and I always learn something. I do not claim to know a lot, but what I do know, I know well. (side note: I do not want to learn how to produce, mix, or master anything. I think it would take away what is magical about music to me).

It occurred to me, that I do indeed have an upbeat, fun disposition about myself in person, public, at work etc. Regardless what I may be feeling on the inside, (hello, reason for a blog) on the outside, I'm not the sourpuss I sometimes think or feel I am.

So in case any of you were wondering if I'm walking around being miserable to everyone face to face... I am not. I'm friggin pleasant, sweet and made from sugar and spice and all things nice...most of the time.

:-)  :-)  :-)
